Pineapple upside down cake

Syrup:

Ingredients:

  • 1/3 cup of water
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 1 cup of pineapple juice for honey

Preparation:

  • Mix the sugar and pineapple juice at high temperature.
  • Cook until the syrup forms.
  • Let cool.

Cake:

Ingredients:

  • 1 box of vanilla cake mix
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 6 prunes
  • 6 pineapple slices
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 1/3 cup of pineapple juice.

Preparation:

  • Note: (prepare according to the instructions of the box, replace water with pineapple juice)
  • Add the flour, eggs and oil.
  • Stir.
  • Add 1/3 cup of pineapple juice.
  • Beat for 2 minutes on high.

Pineapple Upside Down Cake Preparation:

  • In a round cake pan, grease and add flour so that the cake does not stick.
  • Remove the flour that is left over.
  • Place 5 slices of pineapple in the pan and one in the center.
  • Add the prunes in the center of each pineapple slice.
  • Add the syrup.
  • Add the cake mixture.
  • Bake at 350 ° F for 45 minutes.
  • Remove from oven and let cool.
  • Turn over.
  • Enjoy a delicious Colombian coffee.
